Rights Groups Challenge Trump's ICC Sanctions in Court

Four US rights groups sued the Trump administration on August 11, 2026. They say sanctions against the International Criminal Court — a body that prosecutes war crimes — violate free speech and due process rights. A February 2025 order targeted the court over cases involving Netanyahu and US personnel in Afghanistan. Secretary Rubio vowed in July to "disable" it. No American has faced trial there.
