Google Is Merging Fitbit Pay Into Google Wallet

Google is shutting down Fitbit Pay on July 29, 2024, moving all smartwatch payments to Google Wallet instead. This simplifies how developers build payment features and puts Google in line with Apple and Samsung. Some older Fitbit watches lack the security hardware needed for Google Wallet and will lose contactless payment ability.
