Motorola Secretly Tracked Amazon Purchases on Its Phones

Motorola admitted its system software secretly added tracking codes to Amazon shopping sessions on certain US phones, redirecting sale commissions to the manufacturer. When users opened the Amazon app, the phone planted hidden markers that followed their purchases. Motorola said this was unintended and turned it off via a remote update.
