Meta's New App Forces You to Share Only Fresh Camera Photos

Meta launched Instants on 13 May 2026 in Italy and Spain. The app only lets you take photos or video with your phone's camera—you cannot upload older pictures from your phone's storage. You share with close friends or mutual followers and add text only. The idea: snap and share in the moment, rather than pick and polish.
