Fourth Death in NYC Legionnaires' Outbreak as New Cases Stop

A fourth person has died in the Upper East Side Legionnaires' outbreak, which sickened 76. No new cases have appeared since July 15. Health Commissioner Dr. Alister Martin said the likely source — contaminated water droplets people breathed in — has "likely been eliminated." Seven people remain hospitalized. Legionnaires' is a severe lung infection that kills about 10% of those who catch it.
