Netflix Paid $587 Million in Cash for Ben Affleck's AI Filmmaking Startup, Filing Shows

A government filing reveals Netflix paid $587 million in cash for InterPositive, an AI filmmaking startup co-founded by Ben Affleck. The price was not disclosed when the deal was announced in March 2026. Netflix also said about 300 of its shows and films have already used AI tools during production.
