US Changes Iran War Goal to Protecting World Oil Shipping

Five months into the Iran war, Energy Secretary Chris Wright said July 19 the US goal has changed. The new focus is keeping oil ships moving through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow sea lane that carries much of the world's oil. Wright said the US will protect the route "with or without Iranian cooperation." Sixteen US troops have died.
