Texas data centers could triple power plant soot, Houston group says
The Houston Advanced Research Center modeled a scenario in which planned, all grid-connected Texas data centers would more than triple tiny airborne soot particles from the state's power plants, the highest level since 2006. The group says that could erase about five years of cleaner air. Many proposed projects are speculative, so the figures are uncertain.
