HARC models Texas data centers tripling power-sector soot, highest since 2006

The Houston Advanced Research Center modeled a scenario in which planned Texas data centers, all connected to the grid, would more than triple fine particle pollution from the state's power sector, reaching its highest level since 2006. HARC says the rise could erase about five years of air quality gains. Many proposed projects are speculative, so the figures are uncertain.
