
Britain to Keep Its Jerusalem Office Open for Palestinians
Britain will keep its East Jerusalem office open as a separate office working with Palestinians, Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband said 8 October after talks with Israel. Israel had told it to close after Britain set economic penalties on Israeli settlements, towns built on disputed land, in the West Bank. Britain now plans to bring staff back after pulling some out.
