Wall Street dips from records, Asia falls 1.2%

Wall Street's main indexes slipped Oct. 7, a day after record closes, Bloomberg reported Oct. 8. Asian shares fell 1.2%. In my view, higher long-term yields — the return investors get on bonds — mean costlier mortgages and tougher competition for stocks.
