GitHub briefly down for many users

GitHub said many of its main features stopped working properly from 15:06 to 15:16 UTC on Oct. 7, 2026. That includes sharing code, automatic notifications, tracking problems, proposing changes and automated tasks. At 15:14 UTC, the company first warned that sharing code, automated tasks and proposing changes were running poorly while it investigated.
