Labour on track for worst living-standards parliament since 1961, JRF says

Labour is on course for the worst parliament for living standards since 1961, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation warns. It forecasts income after housing costs (after rent or mortgage) will be £440-£770 lower in real, inflation-adjusted terms by 2029-30, driven by energy and housing costs. Economist Chris Belfield says families will be poorer than a decade ago without bold action.
