Michael 2 secures $30.8m California tax credit

Lionsgate's Michael 2, sequel to the Michael Jackson biopic Michael, will shoot in California after receiving a $30.8 million state tax credit, Deadline reported. Governor Gavin Newsom announced the award on 7 October 2026 as part of 35 features selected, according to his office.
