Christa Pike Survives Tennessee Execution Try, Now Awake in Hospital

Christa Pike, 50, is alive after Tennessee tried to end her life on 30 September with two doses of a drug like strong sleeping medicine. Witnesses said she choked and struggled for an hour. Her lawyers say by 6 October she was awake, talking, in intensive hospital care with badly hurt arms, chained by hands and feet to her bed.
