Government keeps wiring safety ban after warnings

The Government has kept a ban on a type of electrical wiring work, MBIE has confirmed. Energy Minister Simon Watts said he was taking feedback seriously. The Electrical Inspectors Association had warned removing the ban could make systems deadly, like leaving live wires exposed. MBIE said further work on risks and benefits will continue.
