One Nation on 25% overtakes Coalition on 22% in Essential poll

One Nation has hit 25% first-preference support in the September 2026 Guardian Essential poll, ahead of the Coalition on 22%. Angus Taylor's Coalition dropped four points to its equal-lowest result on record. I've covered plenty of bad polls, but 25-22 is the sort of maths that keeps Canberra up at night.
