Gold gains to $4,147.70, steady above $4,100

Gold for October delivery — the new front-month, or nearest active, Comex contract — rose $11.30 a troy ounce, or 0.27%, to $4,147.70, Sept. 30 Wall Street Journal data show. My take: it's steadying above $4,100, with $4,200 still limiting gains.
