British Energy Bills May Rise to Four-Year High in January

British energy bills are expected to jump. Cornwall Insight predicts the price cap — the maximum suppliers can charge most homes for gas and electricity — will rise to £1,999 a year for typical use from January to March, up 16%, or £276. It had forecast 9%. Regulator Ofgem must confirm it. That would be the highest in four years.
