Labour says it would cut part of some student loans

Labour leader Chris Hipkins promised at the party's South Auckland launch on 27 September to wipe 10% off some student loans, RNZ reported. He said it is for past and future graduates counted as living in New Zealand for tax who missed out on free study and still owe money. Loans of $2,000 or less would be wiped.
