Labour offers 10% cut to student loans for some graduates

Labour leader Chris Hipkins promised at the party's South Auckland launch on 27 September to cut 10% off eligible student loan balances, RNZ reported. He said it would apply to past and future graduates based in New Zealand for tax who missed out on the fees-free scheme and still owe money. Debts of $2,000 or less would be cleared.
