Watchdog to look into claims Education Ministry avoided sharing information

Chief Ombudsman John Allen, the independent watchdog for government information, will look into claims Education Ministry staff tried to avoid releasing information to the public. He met ministry head Ellen MacGregor-Reid and public service boss Sir Brian Roche. MacGregor-Reid said the comments were wrong. Allen said he will report quickly but carefully.
