Ombudsman to investigate Ministry of Education over OIA allegations

Chief Ombudsman John Allen will formally investigate allegations Ministry of Education officials tried to circumvent the Official Information Act, after meeting Secretary Ellen MacGregor-Reid and Public Service Commissioner Sir Brian Roche. MacGregor-Reid said the comments at issue were wrong. Allen said he will report as soon as possible without sacrificing thoroughness.
