Abbas Speaks to the UN by Video After U.S. Refuses Entry

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas addressed the UN General Assembly's 81st general debate on Sept. 24, 2026, by recorded video shown in the room. He said his team was denied visas — entry permits. France 24 reported Sept. 24 the U.S. denied Abbas a visa. The UN will let Palestinian officials join by video for the next year.
