Abbas Addresses UN General Assembly by Video After U.S. Visa Denial

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas addressed the UN General Assembly's 81st-session general debate on Sept. 24, 2026, by pre-recorded video played in the hall. He said his delegation was denied visas. France 24 reported Sept. 24 the U.S. denied Abbas a visa. The UN has authorized video participation for Palestinian officials for the coming year.
