Decision on new gas plant delayed until after election

The Government will not decide until after the election whether to pay for a new plant to bring in gas from overseas, the ACT and New Zealand First leaders said after a ministers' meeting. They said no deal will be signed before voting day. The plan had been to sign sooner so the plant could cover dry years by mid-2028.
