Qantas Plans Sydney to New York Flight With No Stops

Qantas will fly straight from Sydney to New York's JFK airport starting mid-2028, with no stops. The 18-hour trip is about three hours shorter than the current 21-hour journey stopping in Los Angeles. No airline has flown this route directly before. It is Qantas' second Project Sunrise super-long flight, after Sydney-London starts October 2027. Tickets go on sale August 2027.
