Striped Spider Found in Cheshire for First Time

Chester Zoo workers found Wendy, a full-grown female wasp spider, in a field left to grow wild on zoo land. Britain's spider society confirmed the first Cheshire sighting. The striped spider normally lives in mainland Europe, North Africa and Asia, is moving north like a climate refugee as weather warms, and cannot harm people.
