UNICEF: Almost No Online Child Abuse Cases Get Reported

A UNICEF report says 20 million children aged 12–17 face online sexual abuse every year across 21 countries. Yet fewer than 1 in 100 cases is ever told to police. Most abuse happens on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. The study spanned Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe.
