Leaders of Russia and China to Meet at Summit in Kyrgyzstan

Russian President Putin and Chinese President Xi will attend a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a group of Asian and Eurasian countries that cooperate on security and trade, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 1, 2026. The group will issue a new joint statement, the Bishkek Declaration. Xi left Beijing August 30; Putin's visit was confirmed August 28.
