Putin and Xi to Attend SCO Summit in Bishkek on September 1

Russian President Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are both confirmed to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 1, 2026. The summit will adopt the Bishkek Declaration, succeeding last year's Tianjin Declaration. Xi departed Beijing on August 30; Putin's visit was announced by the Kremlin on August 28.
