German Insurance Giant Allianz May Buy the AA

Germany's Allianz may buy the AA — the British roadside help firm with yellow vans — for about £5bn, Sky News reports. The AA's current owners bought it in 2020 and have been weighing a sale or stock-market listing. A rival buyer, EQT, is also interested. Both Allianz and the AA declined to comment.
