Allianz Weighs £5 Billion Takeover of UK Roadside Group AA
Sky News reported that Germany's Allianz is considering a roughly £5bn ($6.77bn) takeover of AA, the British roadside recovery firm known for its yellow patrol vehicles. Private equity owners TowerBrook and Warburg Pincus, who took AA private in 2020, have run a dual-track sale-or-IPO process throughout 2026. Rival bidder EQT is also in talks.
