
Flood at China-Nepal Border Leaves Hundreds of Foreigners Missing
A sudden flood and mudslide hit Gyirong Port, a busy crossing between China and Nepal. Chinese authorities say 261 foreigners from 23 countries are still missing, including 49 Indians. Sixteen deaths have been reported in Tibet. Gyirong Port is a major road route between Tibet and Nepal, so the flood has disrupted a key travel and trade link.
