Once World's Youngest King, Uganda's Oyo Nyimba Dies at 34

King Oyo Nyimba of Uganda's Tooro Kingdom died August 27, 2026, at 34. He became king as a baby in 1995 after his father died — the youngest monarch in the world at the time. His entire reign covered the period since Uganda brought back local kingdoms that had been abolished. The kingdom says the crown will continue.
