POV Shorts acquires Sundance winner 'The Boys and the Bees' for PBS broadcast

POV Shorts has acquired Arielle Knight's documentary short "The Boys and the Bees" in an exclusive deal reported by Deadline on 3 September 2026. The film won the Short Film Jury Award for nonfiction at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, qualifying it for Oscar consideration. POV, television's longest-running independent nonfiction showcase, premieres 14–16 programmes yearly on PBS. Executive producers: RaMell Ross and Stacey Reiss.
