Leaked Nvidia graphics tech reportedly cuts frame rates in half

Modders pulled Nvidia's unreleased DLSS 5 — software that uses AI to make game lighting and surfaces look photorealistic — from an NBA 2K27 early-access build and tested it across several games. On an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, 4K gameplay dropped from 71 to 35 frames per second. Nvidia announced DLSS 5 in March, targeting a fall release.
