
Sudden Flood on Nepal-Tibet Border Leaves 165 Dead, Thousands Missing
A sudden flood along the Nepal-Tibet border has killed at least 165 people, Nepali police confirmed. The Guardian reports over 1,500 missing, most of them tourists. Chinese state media says three died on the Tibet side, with 558 missing in Gyirong county alone. Rescue teams cannot reach some towns, and the death toll may climb higher.
