Family violence agency cuts 22 jobs; union says it hurts the work

A government agency tackling family and sexual violence is cutting 22 jobs from 28 September, reducing staff from 78 to 52. Board chair Andrew Kibblewhite said the cuts would "sharpen" the agency's focus and help Te Aorerekura, the national plan to end family and sexual violence. The workers' union says losing a third of staff contradicts the agency's own purpose.
