Judges lift blocks on new USPS mail-in voting rule
All court orders that stopped the USPS mail-in voting rule have been lifted. Judge Indira Talwani ended her nationwide block on Aug. 26, 2026, two days after the Supreme Court ended a second one. The rule sets new standards for ballot envelopes and absentee voter lists. Lawsuits from 24 states and voting groups continue.
