Ikea Made a Stool Using Real Xbox Controller Blueprints

Ikea's Yxstaby collection, shown at Gamescom on August 26, 2026, includes a stool shaped like an Xbox thumbstick and built from the game company's original 3D design files. The stool tilts with your body the way a thumbstick moves under your thumb. Designer David Wahl waited all night 25 years ago to buy the first Xbox. The partnership goes beyond slapping a logo on furniture — it borrows the controller's actual design.
