Robotics startup Generalist valued at $3 billion after new $200M funding

Generalist, a robotics AI startup founded in 2024 by former DeepMind researchers and a Boston Dynamics engineer, raised nearly $200 million in new funding led by the investment firm 8VC, reaching a $3 billion valuation. This follows a $400 million round two months earlier that valued the company at $2 billion. Generalist has named only a few early customers and has not disclosed any revenue.
