Nintendo Switch 2 gets a $50 price increase in the U.S. this September

Nintendo confirmed the Switch 2's U.S. price will rise from $449.99 to $499.99 on September 1, 2026 — an 11 percent increase. In Canada, the price goes from $629.99 to $679.99 the same day. The $50 U.S. hike comes about seven months after the console first went on sale.
