A66 crash: police arrest 17 people and investigate crime group behind seven deaths

Five more arrests on 25 August raised the total to 17 over the A66 crash near Middlesbrough that killed seven, including two police officers. The chased VW Passat's occupants had ties to organised crime and 37 past convictions. Cleveland Police are now investigating the wider criminal group behind the crash, not just the collision.
