Electric riding mower rivals pro gas models at less than half the price
The Greenworks MaximusZ, a battery-powered riding mower priced at $8,799, delivers 41 horsepower using five electric motors — two to drive and three to spin a 54-inch blade. That beats the Toro 6000 Series, a professional gas mower costing $18,899. Its battery system is rated to mow four acres on a single charge.
