Sacked minister won't say if he tried to replace Luxon as National leader

Chris Penk lost his job as defence minister and returned to Parliament on 24 August. He won't say whether he tried to replace Christopher Luxon as leader of the National Party. Luxon says Penk did challenge him and lost his roles because of it. The two men's accounts still don't match.
