Sacked minister Penk won't confirm or deny leadership challenge against Luxon

Sacked defence minister Chris Penk returned to Parliament on 24 August and refused to confirm or deny he challenged Christopher Luxon for the National leadership. Penk said he was "looking forwards, not backwards." Luxon has publicly stated Penk mounted the challenge and was stripped of his portfolios as a result. The contradiction remains unresolved.
