US-funded base at Whenuapai watches Iranian and Chinese satellites

A United States military-funded centre at Whenuapai Air Force base, set up in 2023, watches Iranian and Chinese satellites as part of a US intelligence network. Documents released under the Official Information Act show it tracked an Iranian satellite sent up from Russia and a Chinese satellite near a French one in February. The network shares what it finds with a US spy agency.
