Video Suggests 600 People Kidnapped in Nigeria — Ten Times the Police Count

A video shared on Facebook and WhatsApp shows about 600 women, children, and older people held by armed men in a forest. They were kidnapped during Friday prayers at a mosque in Dekara village, Niger State. Police had said only "over 60" were taken. Residents recognized people in the video. Authorities have not commented.
