Opportunity Party could decide who forms next government

The Opportunity Party has polled above 5 percent for the first time — enough under New Zealand's voting rules to get into Parliament with six seats. Neither the right (59 seats) nor the left (55) has enough seats to govern alone. Leader Qiulae Wong said voters see the party as "a stable and safe coalition partner." National has ruled out working with the party over its land tax.
